Be Secure - Feel Secure (BSFS) - Enhancing community trust & well-being in Piraeus

The BSFS project was introduced to the wider public for the first time

The 1st open information day of the BSFS project took place on the 15th of July 2020, in the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.

The Municipal Theatre of Piraeus opened its doors to the public at 17:00 and the visitors were informed on 3 thematic sections: a) The BSFS project and the partners’ role in it, b) The Urban Security section and c) the Role of Technologies in civil security.

The BSFS partners, the Local Council for Crime Prevention (LCCP) president and assigned working groups from the Municipality of Piraeus welcomed the visitors and provided a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with no Covid-19 issues, as temperature measurement and attendance checklist were available at the venue lobby.

Throughout the info-day, the public had the opportunity to exchange views with the BSFS partners representatives and to learn more about the BSFS actions and interventions in the pilot areas of Piraeus.

The info day was a side event to the Launch Event, providing a great opportunity to reach our target groups (municipal bodies, urban security authorities, academics, researchers, cybersecurity stakeholders and companies, NGO’s, OPAN, policy makers etc.) The participants were informed at the same time by representatives of all partners and had direct access in detailed scientific material and presentations.

Promotional material was available for visitors at the entrance and lobby of the venue. More precisely, project posters and banners were illustrated and a 4pcs giveaway set was provided to the visitors.
